My business is dedicated to the production of a fine quality piece of artwork at an affordable price that will bring beauty, joy, serenity and comfort to the lives of those who enjoy original artwork of varying kinds.

I have loved to create different kinds of art all of my life, but had a hard time believing in myself until after I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997. Up until then, most of my creations were given as gifts to family and friends who were always quick with the accolades of how wonderful the gifts were, but they were family and I suppose I thought they were saying those things to be nice.

After my diagnosis, I found a wonderful site on the internet called WebMD and met an amazing group of people on the breast cancer message boards. They were such a support to me and when we would have meetings and get togethers face to face, I would have a gift for each that came to the meetings. I began to realize just how much people did like the things I was creating and how special each item was. More than one or two of my new friends suggested that I make my creations available to others. When I found Tripod and realized I could actually make this availability a reality, I thought I would give it a try.

It is my hope that when one of my creations finds a new home, it brings with it all of the love and joy that I have had in putting it together, painting it and finishing it with just the right touches.

This website has been launched to offer wider availability of the hand-made and hand-painted creations of Barbara Black Moultrie of Byhalia, MS.

Barbara Black was born and raised in Memphis, TN and lived there for the first 44 years of her life. At age 22, she married Jerry Moultrie. During the first nine years of their marriage they had 3 children, 2 boys - Bryan and Lewis and a girl - Carrie. After the birth of their daughter, Barbara became a stay-at-home-mom. In 1997 the diagnosis of breast cancer came and Barbara had a modified radical mastectomy with adjuvant Tamoxifen therapy for two and a half years and treatment with Evista thereafter. Breast cancer can be a very debilatating thing, but it also wakes one up to the fact that life is precious and that every day counts.

So, it's 2006, and I want to make each day count for me in creating art for others to enjoy.
